Arturo's Hot Flavors of Hawaii has been in business since 1981 as Arturo's Tortilla Chip and Salsa Factory, Inc.  We make and distribute Arturo's Tortillas.  We also manufacture in Hawaii fresh salsa, shelf table salsa, hot sauces, BBQ Sauces and teriyaki sauces.  We are the master distributor for all our sauces and tortillas.

Distributors, retail groceries, specialty food stores and online

Marketing Strategies:

Arturo's utilizes multiple avenues of marketing and advertising.  New products, unique flavors, innovative introduction of the new products.  These include advertising in local newspapers, participating in the Fancy Food Show, Fiery Food Show as well as local food shows.  Online strategies include advertising on specialty websites and utilizing Google Ad Words and other Pay Per Click programs.  Direct mail postcards are also useful in local areas.

Arturo's Hot Flavors have been featured in publications such as local Hawaii publications, Specialty Food Magazine, Chile Pepper Magazine and Fiery Foods and Barbecue Magazine.

I enjoy food and letting others enjoy great products.

I don't like people ripping off the Hawaii name when the products have nothing to do with Hawaii except some label name.  If it is not made in Hawaii - it's fraud.

I can tell from our online interview that Steve (the general manager) is serious about the Arturo's business.  I can't wait to get him fired up on a phone interview for our Foodpreneur Podcast Radio Show.  The Arturo's team of three often leaves the paradise of Hawaii for many large food events back in the continental US but knows the importance of staying local.  There marketing efforts and media coverage in Hawaii is a great strategy.  Having a customer base in Hawaii would also help solve some logistical issues of distributing to the US.  With a hot sauce product line including flavors such as Kauai Hot Sauce, Lanai Hot Sauce, Maui Hot Sauce and Makai Hot sauce, Hawaii is not cooling off any time soon!
